A Specialized Technical University for the Chemical Industry

Based in Lanzhou, one of China's major energy and chemical-industry hubs, the university is a leading institution for vocational education in energy and chemical engineering in Northwest China and beyond. It has long worked with major state-owned energy and petrochemical companies, including PetroChina and Sinopec. As a National Demonstration Higher Vocational College and a participant in China's “Double High Plan,” the university has built strong capabilities in petrochemical technology, applied chemical technology, intelligent manufacturing, and related fields, supported by demonstration majors, key majors, and production-oriented training bases.
Frontline research should not be held back by safety risks
The university aligns its research with national energy strategy and the needs of the regional chemical industry, focusing on clean petrochemical production, advanced materials, industrial safety, and environmental technologies. As hazardous-chemical use increases in volume and variety, manual ledger work, inventory counts, mixed storage, fire-related secondary explosions, and leakage caused by cabinet corrosion create both management burdens and safety risks.

Before the safety upgrade,Hazardous chemical reagents were stored in ordinary filing cabinets and inventory records were handwritten. The university recognized that non-compliant storage was creating both safety and efficiency problems: inadequate segregation, recordkeeping errors, and cabinets without sufficient fire, theft, or corrosion protection.
SAN Group — Customized Reagent Storeroom Equipment Solution

SAN Group surveyed the site and designed a tailored solution based on applicable requirements such as GB 50016-2014. The solution combines intelligent storage, real-time monitoring, fire protection, efficient ventilation, and precise management to raise the university's safety-management standard.
Customized distributed storage, controlled from one terminal
Because the university manages a large and diverse reagent inventory, SAN Group implemented a distributed control architecture: one Intelligent Hazardous Chemical Management Terminal (Cloud Control Console) connects to multiple intelligent auxiliary cabinets, with different reagent categories stored separately. The console supports receiving, storage, approval, dispensing, and waste-handling workflows, and stores reagent information in the cloud with automatic ledger generation.

The cloud console is equipped with a chemical information management system, which includes necessary functions such as warehouse registration, storage management, usage approval, and waste disposal.
Through the cloud control console, relevant information labels can be scanned, identified, and automatically entered when reagents are stored; When retrieving reagents, simply operate and select on the cloud control interface, and the reagents in the library will be automatically located for convenient access.

In the case of a large number and variety of reagents, the cloud control console stores all reagent information in the cloud and automatically generates a ledger, greatly reducing the manpower and time consumed by manually recording information, manually searching for reagents, and repeatedly confirming information.
Layered safeguards to reduce reagent-related incidents
FM/EN fire-safe storage, environmental monitoring, ventilation, purification, anti-static protection, temperature control, tiered access permissions, facial recognition, and PC/mobile visibility work together to reduce both physical hazards and management errors. The result is a one-stop Reagent Storeroom Equipment Solution for safer storage and easier daily management.
